Future Leader Pathways

All students in Thomas Paine Sixth Form follow one leadership programme which prepares you to be a future leader in a particular specialism. You will be supported on your programme by a specialist tutor who will help you build a programme that includes work experience, leadership qualifications, extra-curricular activities and networking opportunities.

As part of the leadership scheme all students have the opportunity to complete the ASDAN Leadership Short Course. As an ASDAN Registered Centre, the Leadership Short Course is a great opportunity for students to develop soft skills in teamwork, presentation skills, time management and project management, all of which give our students the edge when they write their CV and university applications.

Students can tailor their ASDAN Leadership Short Course to the areas of leadership they want to develop, and the activities they want to take a leading role in.

Students will receive an externally validated certificate from ASDAN in recognition of the hours and credits they have built up over the course of their Sixth Form experience.

Students will opt for their chosen leadership pathway at the start of Year 12.
