Year 12 Induction and Starter Pack
Welcome to Thomas Paine Sixth Form! We are delighted to have you join us in September. At Thomas Paine Sixth Form, we aim to ensure that your transition into Year 12 is as smooth as possible.
On the first day of the academic year, you will have an induction day that aims to introduce you to life at Thomas Paine Sixth Form, including a tour and an introduction to key members of staff who will support you throughout your time with us, whether that be with your studies, careers advice or if you just need a listening ear. This is then followed by a subject-level induction which will introduce you to your teachers and tutors, share key information and guidance, and set expectations for your studies for the year ahead.
As part of the induction process in the first half term, we also host events to provide opportunities for you to get to know your peers and teachers in an informal environment. These include a sixth form team building day and welcome BBQ.
Starter Pack
Thomas Paine students will receive a sixth form starter pack at the beginning of the academic year. The contents of this includes:
- Laptop
- Railcard
- Hot drinks reusable flask
- Dictionary
- Study skills guide
- Stationary.
