Music Performance

Music is a subject for people who have a passion and commitment to performing, rehearsing and explorative study through practice and analysis. The course gives an insight into the creative processes through by studying performance skills, historical context of performance and all genres of popular music.

 

What will I study?

There are four parts to BTEC Music.  You will study:

  1. Unit 1: Practical music theory and harmony
  2. Unit 2: Professional Practice in the Music Industry
  3. Unit 3: Ensemble Music Performance
  4. Optional Unit: (internal assessment).

 

What can I do with a BTEC Music?

People who study Music go on to a range of courses in the future, including Music Performance, Events Organisation, Production Arts and Music Technology.
